Roundtables for Radical Collaboration

Roundtables for Radical Collaboration

IQVIA Institute Roundtables for Radical Collaboration are virtual conversations among a variety of leaders in academic research, clinical medicine, life sciences, patient groups and other public and private organizations, who offer insights and share perspectives on current issues in healthcare. The conversations are intended to lead to new research projects, programs and collaborations, and ultimately to advance the delivery and quality of care for patients globally.

IQVIA Institute Roundtable for Radical Collaboration 2: Improving Patient Adherence and Health Outcomes

Our second roundtable – Improving Patient Adherence and Health Outcomes – focused on how patient services are evolving as an area of growing interest within the life sciences industry to advance adherence with complex, specialty therapies. At the same time, there is much discussion about moving healthcare services from hospitals and institutions to home healthcare, which is driven by major shifts in the healthcare eco-system. Participants in the roundtable represented nonprofit, healthcare, life sciences, and academia. The roundtable led to the creation of a discussion brief – Improving Patient Adherence and Health Outcomes.

IQVIA Institute Roundtable for Radical Collaboration 1: RACE for Children Act: Impact and Implications

Our first roundtable – RACE for Children Act: Impact and Implications – focused on the impact and implications of the Research to Accelerate Cures and Equity (RACE) for Children Act, which came into effect on August 18, 2020. The legislation mandates pediatric investigation of targeted therapies in development for an adult cancer and directed at a molecular target that FDA determines to be “substantially relevant to the growth or progression of a pediatric cancer.”

Participants in the roundtable represented nonprofit, healthcare, life sciences, and academia. The roundtable led to the creation of a discussion brief – Advancing Pediatric Cancer Research: Impact and implications of the RACE for Children Act.
