Search JobsCardiovascular disease (CVD) is an important healthcare challenge for Malaysia in modern times as more and more citizens are being diagnosed with this disease at a younger age than before. This rising prevalence of CVD-related illness and death does not just impact patients and families but also puts an unsustainable economic burden on the nation.
In collaboration with cardiologists, endocrinologists, public health, family medicine and pharmacoeconomic experts, this white paper aims to provide insights into the current state of CVD in Malaysia. As the burden of CVD continues to escalate, there is a vital need for industry leaders and HCPs to co-create patient-centric solutions. This paper therefore identifies gaps and opportunities followed by a proposal of five main strategies to effectively tackle the disease burden.
